Purpose

The purpose of the module is to create a wristband that detects hypoglycemia through measurement of heart rate and detection of excess sweating. For now, the module will be
intended for use while the patient is sleeping, but in the future it is possible to make this product mobile for use during all hours of the day.
To check for symptoms of hypoglycemia, the wristband will monitor the patient’s sweat and heart rate. It will do this by implementing a polygraph circuit in the wristband. This kind of circuit measures sweat by wrapping foil and Velcro around the patients’ fingers. In the wristband, there will also be a heart rate monitor. This will be a cap connected to the wristband that extends to the tip of the pointer finger. It will measure heart rate by recording the amount of
pulses read over time.
This wristband would help detect when seizures occur and will sound an alarm to wake the patient and nearby family. Whoever hears the alarm then has the option to take care of the issue, turning off the alarm, or to call 911. If the alarm is ignored, it will call 911 on its own.
